KRISTEN HAYNER
Kristen Hayner brings knowledge of and passion for the interplay of politics and press relations to healthcare campaigns. As former press secretary to the House Republican Caucus of the Tennessee General Assembly, she is experienced in strategic message development as it relates to the outreach between media, elected officials and the constituents they serve.
Prior to moving to Nashville, Hayner worked in Washington, D.C., as an assistant speechwriter and intern to Senator Bill Frist. She also served as a White House intern in the President’s speechwriting office, as well as a newsroom intern with WKOW-TV in Madison, Wisconsin.
Hayner received a B.A. in political science from Johns Hopkins University and an M.Ed. in organizational leadership from Vanderbilt University's Peabody College. She presently serves on the leadership team of Ellie’s Run for Africa, a Nashville-based 5K race that raises funds for educational efforts in Africa.
