Vice President

The Practice Vice President is the National Practice Leader’s key executive responsible for the direct relationship between clients and the firm. The Practice Vice President manages the team, the client relationship, the work and is accountable for ensuring the firm meets client expectations and firm goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

Client Service

  • Lead clients to realize full potential (meeting program objectives, on time/quality work) – this includes the ability to craft, sell and lead strategic communications and engagement efforts
  • Establish and lead relationship(s) with clients to ensure team gets information it needs and furthers the firm’s reputation within the client organization
  • Develop key client strategies, plans and budgets and oversee programs for clients managed by your teams
  • Manage all aspects of your teams, including utilization, growth and development
  • Serve as ongoing lead advisor and provide counsel as needed on clients managed by your teams
  • Involve National Practice Lead and other senior leaders on client issues as needed

Business Development

  • In collaboration with National Practice Leader and Chief Development Officer, contribute to pitch strategy and proposal development for targeted business opportunities
  • Play a significant role in new business pitches
  • Identify new opportunities with existing clients where the firm could contribute value for client and work with appropriate client contact(s) to pursue these opportunities
  • Participate in firm thought leadership activities

People Development

  • Demonstrate and nurture Jarrard Vision and Mission and bring our Values to life
  • Mentor the colleagues who report to you, guide career development and growth opportunities
  • Ensure teams are adept at all firm high-value services
  • Help agency recruit and retain the best people

Firm Management

  • Capture and transfer best practices in key client management
  • Help identify potential new service capabiliteis, based on client needs and competitive offerings
  • Ensure daily billable goals are met by you and your direct reports
  • Assist National Practice Lead in staffing client teams
  • Participate in, and provide leadership for, professional development curriculum, including Jarrard Academy
