Aaron Campbell brings our clients insight into today’s complex regulatory environment. With 10 years of experience in lobbying and legislative roles within state government, Campbell offers healthcare policy knowledge and essential perspective gained from his direct work with lawmakers, executives and community advocates.

Campbell has worked on a number of health and welfare issues for Tennessee, including TennCare insurance reform and the creation of the Cover Tennessee program. Additionally, he worked with a coalition of community nonprofits on implementation of the Affordable Care Act and, more recently, worked with the Tennessee Hospital Association on Medicaid expansion.

Campbell came to our firm after serving as the director of public policy for the nonprofit Nashville CARES, the largest nationally recognized provider of HIV care and support in Tennessee. Previously, Campbell was the Tennessee government affairs specialist for Youth Villages Inc. He has served on the legislative teams for the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services and the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities, as well as on the leadership of the Coalition for a Healthy Tennessee—a network of hospitals, insurers and community-based organizations in support of Medicaid expansion in Tennessee. He is a member of the Nashville Emerging Leaders class of 2012 and the founding class of Future Ready Nashville.

Campbell earned a bachelor’s degree in social work with a minor in religious studies from Middle Tennessee State University.
