Our design team helps bring the smart and strategic thinking of our firm and our clients to life through digital and print media. The work is typically fast-paced and ranges from quick-turn crises to longer-term branding and marketing executions.

We’re seeking an in-house Graphic Designer with 2+ years of experience with an impeccable portfolio to provide creative services to our healthcare clients in support of their campaign initiatives and to support our firm’s internal branding and business development efforts.

Job description

You love logo design, typography and nerd out over the branding process. When crafting a client’s website, you know how to translate their brand to WordPress. You also know your way around InDesign and Photoshop. You are the next step in the evolution of a designer.

As a Graphic Designer at Jarrard Inc., you’ll be responsible for designing everything under the sun. We’re talking identity, web, digital, print — the works. While much of the work involves designing and developing client brands and websites, you’ll also be asked to set up and work on social graphics, one pagers and other print and digital design executions. This is a highly collaborative role with a team that is looking to add a highly collaborative teammate.

Responsibilities

  • Create logos, mockups, PowerPoint decks and print collateral (brochures, business cards, etc.) that adhere to our clients’ brand identities and our own.
  • Design and support WordPress website projects and email marketing campaigns (WordPress/HTML experience is required).
  • Collaborate with creative and client teams on strategic/branding projects.

What’s Expected

  • You might have some kind of design degree, but a strong portfolio and a solid personality matter most. 
  • 2+ years of experience as a graphic designer/front-end website designer with solid skills in the previously mentioned areas. 
  • You live in the Adobe Creative Cloud, know WordPress and are a Mac user. Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite is required. Working knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus. 
  • You have a keen eye for typography, composition and familiarity with current design trends and best practices in digital. 
  • Critical thinking, strong communication skills and a positive attitude are required – check your ego at the door. 
  • Time management – ability to work quickly and effectively to meet short turnaround times while balancing multiple projects and maintaining perfectionist-level attention to detail.

The Fine Print

This is a full-time position (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm), to be based in Nashville. For the past two years, we’ve all been remote, but we will be returning to the office – you know, the Barn – in a hybrid manner by the end of the winter. We will want our teammates in the office at least two days a week.
