Prior to joining our team in 2013, Bennett managed communication, marketing, student recruitment and event planning for the Institute for Sustainable Practice at Lipscomb University. Previously, she assisted with communication efforts for clients in the healthcare, nonprofit, restaurant and retail industries while working at Dye, Van Mol & Lawrence in Nashville.
Bennett began her career with internships at Belmont University’s Office of Communications, where she assisted with public relations including work on the 2008 Town Hall Presidential Debate. She also interned in the Nashville and Washington, D.C., offices of U.S. Sen. Bob Corker.
Bennett is an active member of Women in Numbers, a nonpartisan organization that engages, encourages and endorses women to be elected to public office.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Belmont University and a master’s degree in mass communication from Middle Tennessee State University.
