Combining her passion for branding, messaging and culture, Katy Shorkey has a knack for creative storytelling and a deep appreciation for digital marketing.

With more than 15 years of marketing experience on the client side, Shorkey brings a unique perspective to her work with branding, messaging and strategic communications – especially during key times of growth, challenge and change.

Prior to joining Jarrard, Inc. in 2021, Shorkey led the marketing, communications and engagement for Skokie, Illinois-based Legacy Healthcare, a provider of post-acute and long-term skilled healthcare consulting services with more than 60 locations. During her tenure with Legacy, she implemented an organization-wide employee and patient engagement effort and managed the rebranding of more than 40 facilities as each became part of the Legacy portfolio.

Additionally, Shorkey served as a marketing specialist for Cleveland Clinic Akron General where she oversaw the marketing efforts and community events for key service lines and physician groups. She also has extensive experience in hospitality marketing, having served in marketing roles for Paladar Group, Arby’s and Outback Steakhouse in Cleveland.

Shorkey earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing management from The University of Akron. She is a member of Delta Gamma Fraternity and Human Rights Campaign.
