Previously, Climer was chief communications and marketing officer for Saint Thomas Health, Ascension’s Tennessee Ministry.
Climer lends her expertise and perspective to clients based on more than three decades of experience in strategic communications for healthcare, particularly with faith-based health systems.
As Saint Thomas Health’s first CMO, Climer spearheaded all communications and marketing function for the nine-hospital system. She consolidated communications efforts at the system level, led the rebranding effort and oversaw the development of the “Nothing Shall Be Impossible” communication platform that received more than 30 local, regional and national awards for healthcare advertising.
Climer began her career as staff development director at Middle Tennessee Medical Center, now Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital. She later took on roles overseeing physician relations, patient satisfaction and strategic planning. In 2002, she was named Vice President of Marketing and Strategy for the newly formed Saint Thomas Health Services and became its chief communications officer in 2005.
Climer is a member of the American Heart Association’s Executive Leadership Team and a former president of the Murfreesboro Junior League. She has also served on the boards of the Greater Nashville Council on Aging and Rutherford CABLE.
She earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Oklahoma State University and is a graduate of the two-year Ascension Executive Formation program.
