Shelley DuBois uses her decade of editorial experience to develop the firm’s voice and realize its thought leadership strategy. She works with experts within Jarrard and in the firm’s network to create articles, white papers and materials that provide insight to healthcare leaders working to drive the industry forward.

Prior to joining Jarrard, DuBois worked for Nashville-based public affairs firm Hall Strategies. While there, she wrote state and federal policy for industry association Life Science Tennessee and managed the organization’s Mentor Network.

Before joining Hall Strategies, she covered the business of healthcare at The Tennessean, Nashville’s daily newspaper. During her time there, she won Tennessee Press Association and Green Eyeshade awards for her work on healthcare reform and the opioid crisis.

Before joining the Tennessean in 2013, DuBois wrote for Fortune Magazine in New York. She has also worked as a producer for National Public Radio’s weekly radio show Science Friday.

DuBois graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in biological anthropology and a minor in Spanish literature. She earned a master’s degree from New York University’s Science, Health and Environmental Reporting program in 2009.
