After nearly 20 years in broadcast journalism and government media relations, Fisher has a deep insider’s knowledge of the evolving media landscape and how to craft stories for maximum impact.
Based in the Jarrard Inc Nashville office, Fisher serves clients in the firm’s National Practice. She also assists provider organizations of all types with media and message training sessions, national thought leadership campaigns and policy and regulatory issues.
Prior to joining Jarrard, Fisher served as Communications Director for the Tennessee Attorney General. In that role, she led and coordinated messaging on complex legal matters including the $26 Billion Opioid Distributor’s settlement to national media outlets. She also produced original content through a legal matters podcast, Making the Case.
Previously, Samantha presented to more than 800 affiliate stations as a national correspondent with CNN. There, she was on the political team that won a Peabody Award for Coverage of the 2008 Presidential Primary Campaign and Debates. She has also led story development and direction as an Emmy Award winning local news anchor with WKRN-TV in Nashville, KSL-TV in Salt Lake City, and WRDW-TV in Augusta, Georgia.
Samantha holds a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast News from the University of Georgia where she was a full tuition Hope Academic Scholar. She has served on boards for the YMCA and the Ronald McDonald House. She is married to Daniel and is raising two daughters, Penny and Tess.
