Alcorn was previously the senior vice president and chief communications officer for Rochester Regional Health System. Previously, she served as chief communications officer at Geisinger Health System, positioning the system as a nationally recognized model for healthcare delivery and financing.
Prior to Geisinger, Alcorn served in various health systems in New Jersey, including work as vice president of public relations and marketing for Solaris Health System; corporate director of public relations for Union Hospital; and director of public relations for both Saint Mary’s Hospital and Saint James Hospital.
Alcorn is co-author of the book “Healthcare Mergers, Acquisitions, and Partnerships: An Insider’s Guide to Communication” (with David Jarrard) and white paper “Healthcare Communications and Marketing in the Brave New World.” She is a nationally recognized speaker on healthcare and a member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development, having received the society’s highest honor, the Award for Individual Professional Excellence.
She received her bachelor’s degree in communications and went on to earn her Master of Arts in public relations, both from Rowan University.
