A richly experienced consultant, she also leverages years of front-line experience as a hospital spokesperson working with health system leadership to advance strategy, negotiate with labor unions and payers, build and sustain positive relationships with stakeholders and shape perception.
Previously, in her consulting career, Kane was a vice president on the national health media team at the global agency Edelman. There, she led national and global media strategy for Fortune 500 companies spanning the healthcare continuum including medical device and diagnostics, payer, pharma, biosciences and tech.
Additional career highlights include serving as media relations director for the Las Vegas-based agency MassMedia and its subsidiary, MassMedia Health. There, she led public relations initiatives that elevated visibility, increased awareness and drove patient acquisition for multiple regional and national accountable care organizations including the largest medical group in Southern Nevada.
Prior to that, Kane managed public relations for CHRISTUS St. Vincent Regional Medical Center in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She began her career at Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque.
An Accredited Public Relations (APR) practitioner, Kane is a regular speaker at the Public Relations Society for America (PRSA) Health Academy and is past chapter president.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Arts in Journalism and Media Studies from The University of Alabama Graduate School.
