Before joining Jarrard, Crowley was assistant director of communications at Duke University. There, she developed strategies and stories to strengthen the university’s reputation for academic and research excellence. From drafting large-scale financial proposals to ghost writing for academic leaders, Crowley crafted compelling messages for a variety of audiences to achieve strategic objectives.
Prior to her work at Duke, Crowley helped managed media relations at the American Enterprise Institute, a public policy think tank in Washington, DC. There she worked as a publicist for over 70 public policy scholars, helping them determine key communications goals, providing them with media training and pitching their expertise to print, broadcast, and digital media outlets. By designing promotional campaigns for reports and books and securing feature placements in publications including The Wall Street Journal, The Hill, and The Washington Post, Crowley ensured the organization’s research was strategically injected into the national conversation on major policy issues.
Crowley received her BA from the University of Notre Dame with a major in political science and a minor in public policy. She is currently pursuing a master’s in public relations and corporate communications from Georgetown University.
