Liz Nix

Senior Managing Advisor

Liz Nix brings a diverse background and deep commitment to innovation to her work with Jarrard Inc.’s National and Academic Health System clients.

Nix began her career as a horticulturalist at Walt Disney World, where she worked for two years before beginning a career evolution that ultimately led to healthcare. Twenty years later, the desire to run towards new challenges and find innovative paths forward continue to inform Nix’s approach to strategic thinking and change management.

Before joining Jarrard, Nix spent more than a decade in a variety of roles at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Most recently, she served as learning and development leader in the adult ambulatory scheduling center. There, she created onboarding and development programs, initiated a strategic communications program and designed hybrid work engagement plans. Previously, Nix focused on facilities planning and management at Vanderbilt, working closely with executive leaders and research faculty to create spaces that foster innovation and creativity.

In addition to her time at Vanderbilt, Nix served as a land planning and environmental science consultant across the state of Florida and parts of southern Georgia. This experience provided the foundation for her expertise leading public forums, building consensus and working across diverse constituent groups to effect change.

Nix holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, an MBA from University of Tennessee at Martin and is currently pursuing a PhD in Learning and Leadership from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
