Having also worked in project management and contract strategy, Biggs is fluent in the language and mechanics of healthcare operations. She has been particularly involved in the firm’s work in the behavioral services sector.
Before joining Jarrard Inc. in 2018, Biggs served as communications manager for Access Community Health Network of Chicago, one of the nation’s largest federally qualified health center networks. There, she led marketing strategies for grant-funded outreach programs, oversaw numerous internal publications and acted as the communication liaison for joint marketing programs with insurance companies and other healthcare delivery organizations.
Prior to that, as senior media and communications associate at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Biggs led national multimedia public service announcement efforts. She also secured feature placements in national publications, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and The Washington Post.
Earlier, Biggs held communications and operations roles at St. Louis-based Ascension Health, America’s largest non-profit health system. There, she was recognized for communication work related to the largest nutritional and environmental contract in the history of the healthcare industry. Biggs began her career within the high-tech practice at Weber Shandwick in Boston.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Truman State University and a master’s degree in health communication from Northwestern University – where she continues to serve as a guest lecturer for the program.
