Before joining Jarrard, Weaver worked as the manager of health communication research at Westat where he contributed to the Let’s Stop HIV Together campaign for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). His strategic thinking helped propel initiatives like the Let’s Stop HIV Together Ambassadors Program and the Together Partner Network, which increased engagement through partnerships and digital collaboration. Weaver has a knack for building strong relationships with key opinion leaders, patient advocacy groups and policy influencers to help spread these important messages and boost brand awareness.
Earlier in his career, Weaver served as a health communication specialist at Chenega Corp., where he coordinated metrics for the CDC’s Prevention Communication Branch. He played a pivotal role in research for the Let’s Stop HIV Together campaigns, focusing on reaching priority populations. With expertise in data evaluation and digital analytics, Weaver fine-tuned communication strategies, leading to greater campaign success and higher levels of engagement.
While at the Fulton County Board of Health in Atlanta, Weaver led efforts to improve prevention services and education for the county’s Same Gender Loving (LGBT) population and collaborated closely with community organizations to build partnerships that enhanced health outcomes. He also excelled in assessing training needs, developing educational programs and managing the financial and operational aspects of outreach efforts.
Weaver graduated from Fort Valley State University with a bachelor’s in biology and a master’s in public health.
