At Jarrard, Hunter leads a team of public relations and communications professionals who work with companies in health technology, health IT and digital health, plus the venture capital and private equity firms that fund them. In addition, he partners with Jarrard’s provider practice leads on initiatives related to technology for hospitals, health systems and health services company clients.
Prior to joining Jarrard in 2024, Hunter was president and co-founder of the award-winning technology strategic communications agency, The Bulleit Group. While leading The Bulleit Group for 12 years, Hunter managed communication strategy for some of the biggest and most exciting technology companies and venture capitalists in the world including Google, Microsoft, Bridgewater, Collective Health, Cleo, Cruise (GM), eero (Amazon), Flexport, Samsara, Verkada, Lightspeed Venture Partners and Sequoia Capital.
Specifically, he specialized in guiding companies through complex communications challenges, including strategic positioning and communications, public relations, funding and IPO support, crisis communications, partnership transactions, and strategic initiatives. His ability to foster strong client relationships and navigate complex challenges was pivotal in the company’s growth and reputation.
Earlier in his career, Hunter was a vice president at San Francisco-based Cutline Communications, also holding senior communications roles at Palm, the smartphone manufacturer, Hewlett-Packard and Edelman.
Hunter received his bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State University, Chico.
