Prior to Jarrard, Harris worked at the American Planning Association, where he contributed to leadership and public affairs initiatives at both national and local levels. His key responsibilities included streamlining internal development processes and managing chapter finances. Earlier in his career, Harris served as an intern at the Battelle Memorial Institute, as part of the Ohio State University’s Washington Academic Internship Program. In this role, he conducted legislative research and prepared summaries for various events, including Congressional hearings and policy forums.
Harris holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from The Ohio State University and is CAPM certified. While at OSU, he interned at the Ohio Governor’s Office, actively participated in student government and served as president of Phi Gamma Delta.
