A senior partner and leader of Jarrard’s Issues & Advocacy services, Isaac Squyres advises healthcare organizations through high-stakes moments where policy, politics, public opinion and business strategy converge.
Drawing on three decades of political and consulting experience, he helps hospitals, health systems, associations and senior executives navigate complex stakeholder environments to earn trust, secure approvals and advance policy goals. His work spans local-, state- and federal-level healthcare initiatives, public hospital conversions, hospital transactions and advocacy efforts that require alignment among elected officials, governing bodies, community leaders and internal stakeholders.
Squyres combines political judgment, disciplined messaging, stakeholder insight and data-informed strategy that allows leaders to move with confidence and decisive action in moments of scrutiny, uncertainty or change.
Some examples of his public affairs and political campaign experience include: helping Idaho hospitals win a statewide ballot initiative to expand access to bond funding, developing and executing campaign strategy for a successful legislative advocacy campaign to secure reauthorization of Medicaid expansion in one of the nation’s most conservative states and serving as the lead general consultant on a successful congressional campaign before guiding the transition to office as chief of staff to the newly elected congressman.
In 2025, Squyres created Jarrard Market Research & Insights to help clients understand stakeholder perceptions, motivations and behaviors – then convert that intelligence into strategies that shape opinion, build support and drive action.
Squyres began serving healthcare providers during the challenging M&A environment of the mid- and late-1990s. Since then, he has helped organizations achieve major objectives, including the formation of St. Luke’s Health System, Idaho’s first health system, and South Carolina’s largest provider system. He also has advised on numerous complex hospital transactions and public-to-private nonprofit conversions, including two of the nation’s largest conversions in Lee Health and Erlanger Health.
Squyres holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Davidson College.
