She oversees four practices uniquely designed for hospitals of all stripes: academic medical centers, expansive national systems, regional systems plus public and community hospitals. A robust fifth practice is devoted to innovative health services companies committed to revolutionizing the delivery of care. And a sixth practice is Jarrard Creative Services, essentially an in-house advertising firm.
As a consultant, McConville’s forte is articulating and effectuating strategies across large organizations by tapping into a keen understanding of culture. Individually, she’s a trusted guide for leaders, advising them on C-suite team formation, strategies for board retreats and coaching in major moments of large-scale, transformational work.
Meanwhile, her influence on the industry as a whole has deepened through her macro executive coaching work. McConville has earned a reputation as a sought-after convener of leadership peers – enabling them to serve as thought partners with one another to make healthcare stronger and more accessible for all.
As an AAMC keynote speaker, McConville has shared her insights on topics from institutional reputation to leadership.
Other specialty areas include mission-vision-values discernment and holistic internal engagement and culture work.
McConville joined Jarrard Inc. from Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she served as program director of strategic analytics. At Vanderbilt, she led transformative change efforts, including a drastic expense reduction that drew national coverage. She also developed marketing plans for clinical innovations, ultimately securing a pilot relationship with one of the top oncology practice management organizations in the U.S.
Earlier, in her Chicago-based career at Bain & Co., she advised industrial goods, retail and consumer services clients on growth strategies, cost reduction and organizational design.
Outside of healthcare, McConville served as chief of staff to the chief marketing and strategy officer of Nationwide Insurance. While there, she led the redesign of their 700+ person marketing team, developed processes to improve marketing capabilities and co-authored corporate strategy in partnership with the chief strategy officer.
McConville holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler School of Business where she was a UNC Merit Fellowship recipient and B.A. in English from Davidson College.
