Prior to joining the firm in early 2022, Buckhalter served as a content strategist for a marketing agency serving nonprofit organizations. During her time there, she developed effective social media and content strategies that helped clients position themselves as thought leaders in their respective industries, including the hospice and palliative care field. Much of her work included writing articles about critical barriers to healthcare, such as health illiteracy, misconceptions about end-of-life care, fragmentation of the healthcare system, and much more.
In graduate school, Buckhalter expanded her knowledge about the roots of healthcare’s most challenging issues and explored practical solutions to them under the direction of expert faculty and healthcare industry leaders.
Buckhalter is a native Chicagoan who earned her Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and her Master of Science in health communication from Northwestern University. She is a member of the Society for Health Communication and the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI).
