Steaban joined the firm in 2021 by way of the non-profit sector, where she led communications, program development and strategic planning for international development and global health organizations. Most recently, as a program development specialist at Nashville-based Raise the Roof Academy, she worked with a team to develop high-quality education centers, provide community health programs, create income generating opportunities to create lasting, community-wide advancement in rural Uganda. She has additional experience research, consulting, social media and fundraising through previous work with Lwala Community Alliance, which focuses its efforts on the underserved in Kenya.
Steaban earned a master’s degree in International Development & Humanitarian Emergencies at the London School of Economics & Political Science, with training in crisis management. She completed her bachelor’s degree in International Studies at DePaul University in Chicago, IL. While earning her degrees, she held competitive internships and research positions at Human Rights Watch and UNICEF.
