Her breadth of knowledge is deep and wide, including brand strategy, internal communications and media relations, digital and traditional marketing strategy, thought leadership, crisis navigation, patient acquisition and retention strategies plus executive communications.
Cuen also has specialized expertise in helping non-profit organizations bring to life the story and authentic value of their community benefit.
Prior to joining Jarrard, Cuen was chief communications and marketing officer at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. A highly regarded leader and team builder, she led Cedar’s team of more than 100 marketing and communications staff members and external consultants while managing a $60 million+ budget. Previously, she was chief marketing officer at UCLA Health, establishing the medical center’s first digital strategy team and internal communications team and orchestrating an award-winning branding campaign.
An educator and leader with deep roots in her community, Cuen has been an active board member and chair to several foundations dedicated to the betterment of public health.
Based in California, Cuen earned her undergraduate degree in communications and her MBA at UCLA. She has also taught healthcare marketing in the Executive Master of Public Health Program at UCLA’s Fielding School of Public Health.
