Prior to joining Jarrard Inc, Bass worked as a benefit analyst for The Social Security Administration. There, she used public communication platforms to improve program visibility for beneficiaries and increase their understanding of benefits and regulations. This work included evaluating retirement and disability benefits through the lens of government policy and regulations.
Previously, she was a lecturer at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she taught Business and Professional Public Speaking. In this role, she helped students prepare for their professional careers, as well as organized and hosted public speaking competitions.
Bass also comes to the firm with an extensive background in public health and health equity. She served as communications intern for the Center for Health Education and Wellness at UTK, collaborating on sexual assault awareness campaigns and analyzing engagement data and streamlining volunteer processes.
During her time at UTK, she also worked as a graduate research assistant focusing on healthcare disparities among women in rural Appalachia. During graduate school, her research focused on increasing maternal health and access to family planning resources in minority communities.
Originally from Chattanooga, TN Bass earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with an emphasis on health communication from The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She holds a Master of Science in Health Communication from Northwestern University, where she served as a student ambassador for the program.
