Prior to joining Jarrard, Inc., Wells joined Tower Health as its System Director of Corporate Communications and Government Relations. There, he helped lead the system’s communications response to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as its organizational restructuring and financial turn-around efforts.
Previously, Wells served as vice president of public affairs at Main Line Health in suburban Philadelphia. During his tenure, he worked on all facets of internal and external corporate communications, serving as the system’s primary spokesman to the news media and community groups. He advised senior management on message development and wrote the system’s first formal crisis communications plan. He also implemented the first organized government affairs function for MLH, strengthening relationships with local, state, and federal elected officials.
Following his time at MLH, Wells founded The Wellynn Group, a consulting practice in communications, public affairs, and marketing. Clients included organizations in the healthcare, academic, environment, tourism, real estate, and energy sectors.
Wells earned a BA in English Literature and Composition from the University of Virginia and an MBA from St. Joseph’s University. He has served on boards at the local and national level, including Wesley Enhanced Living, the Ignatian Volunteer Corps, and numerous community boards in suburban Philadelphia where he lives.
