Charlotte Milliken brings well-rounded experience in internal and donor-facing communications across higher education and scientific research institutions to Jarrard.
Before joining the firm, Milliken worked at the Abrams Research Center on Neurogenomics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where she supported executive communications and produced donor-facing materials. This experience honed her ability to translate complex research findings into accessible narratives to inspire engagement. Milliken has also done freelance work in the philanthropic sector developing annual reports and grant submissions for nonprofit organizations.
Milliken earned both her bachelor’s degree in English and political science and master’s degree in English from Tulane University. While completing her master’s at Tulane, she also held a communications role, where she prepared strategic marketing initiatives promoting campus resources for new students.
