Colby Gallagher draws on her varied background to deliver strategic counsel rooted in connection, helping clients navigate high-stakes moments with confidence, compassion and clarity.
Prior to joining Jarrard, Gallagher led a crisis communications practice and served as chief counselor at AKCG, a firm specializing in reputation management. There, she led the strategy and delivery of programs designed to preserve trust with stakeholders in the aging services and academic sectors.
Gallagher began her career as a broadcast journalist in local news. As a multimedia journalist and anchor, she quickly learned and distilled complex subjects while immersing herself in new communities to tell meaningful stories. She later honed her communications and community engagement expertise as a public information officer in local government in South Carolina and New Jersey. In these roles, she designed and produced all video and social media content to inform, educate and engage diverse audiences.
Throughout her career, Gallagher has advised and trained senior leaders across industries seeking to strengthen engagement, influence positive change and advance their organization’s mission through strategic, action-aligned communication. Her experience as both a reporter seeking honest, accessible communication and a spokesperson responsible for delivering clear, effective messaging gives her a unique perspective for developing creative strategies while mitigating reputational risk.
Gallagher is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) through the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). She holds dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Radio/Television/Film from Rowan University.
