Ellis Metz has spent nearly 15 years advising healthcare companies and systems through high-stakes moments involving reputation management, issue navigation, strategic positioning and media relations.
Today, he is also responsible for growth strategy and business development efforts for the firm’s Health Services & Technology practice.
Fueled by a passion for connecting with people and shaping compelling narratives, Metz channels his expertise into ensuring clients reach the right audiences with the right messages, in choppy seas or smooth waters. He has particularly deep experience advising innovative companies reshaping the healthcare industry, including enterprises in the wearables, health tech and home care spaces. Within the home health sector, he led joint communications strategy for a $250 million transaction.
Active within the Nashville community, Metz is a member of the advisory board for Leadership Health Care and the Next Gen board for Siloam Health. He serves on the board of directors of STARS, a Nashville-based nonprofit that supports young people through social and emotional obstacles.
Metz graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama’s public relations program. During his time at UA, he served as a founding editor for the campus’s first digital newspaper.
