Metz has particularly deep experience advising innovative healthcare companies that are reshaping the industry, including numerous PPM enterprises and organizations in the behavioral healthcare sector. Within the home health space, he led joint communications strategy for a $250 million transaction.
Active within the Nashville healthcare community, Metz has a consistent presence at Nashville Health Care Council events and is a committee member with Leadership Health Care. He also serves on the board of directors for STARS, a Nashville-based nonprofit that supports young people through social and emotional obstacles.
He began his career at PMT Publishing in Mobile, Alabama, as assistant editor for Mobile Bay Magazine and frequent contributor to local business publications. His background also includes work for Marketing 24/7 Inc., based in Birmingham, Alabama, providing strategic communications with the launch and branding of healthcare startups.
Metz graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama’s public relations program. During his time at UA, he served as a founding editor for the campus’s first digital newspaper.
