M. Joyce Gallagher is a Telly and Emmy Award–winning marketing, communications and fundraising consultant with more than 25 years of experience advancing mission-driven organizations, particularly in health-focused environments. Based in Dedham, MA, she brings together the discipline of a newsroom storyteller and the strategic rigor of an integrated marketing leader.
Most recently, as AVP of Philanthropy Communications, Gallagher directed communications for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute’s $2.5B comprehensive campaign, The Dana-Farber Campaign | Defy Cancer. The campaign celebration video received the 2025 Gold Telly award.
Her work sits at the intersection of brand, revenue and mission: translating complex institutional priorities into compelling narratives that mobilize donors, engage stakeholders and strengthen organizational culture. She is equally comfortable shaping enterprise-level strategy and executing high-impact tactics across print, digital, video and live platforms.

Gallagher’s previous experience includes serving as the Director of Institutional Giving at the American Red Cross in Massachusetts, stints at the American Cancer Society, Goodwill and the United Way. She began her career at WBZ-TV in Boston. She received a bachelor of arts degree from Boston College, as well as a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from Boston University.
