He offers our clients a multi-disciplinary perspective and a keen understanding of the unique pressures and politics for healthcare providers, with nearly 20 years of experience in communications, public affairs and marketing. Since joining Jarrard in 2015, Stewart has helped dozens of health systems navigate their most significant moments of growth and change. He served as operations lead for our Chicago location prior to the firm joining Chartis in 2020.
Before joining Jarrard Inc., Stewart was the director of outreach for the Illinois State Medical Society, a 175-year-old organization that serves as the voice of Illinois physicians. His comprehensive grassroots outreach efforts demonstrated the Society’s value to its members and enhanced retention while deepening relationships with physicians statewide. Additionally, Stewart led numerous engagement efforts centered on regulatory and operational issues that physicians continue to face today.
Prior to moving into healthcare, Stewart worked in marketing with McDougal Littell, a respected textbook publishing company, where he directed the Advanced & Elective division’s largest annual marketing initiative across the country. He also served as the national finance intern for the Obama for Illinois 2004 campaign, leading voter outreach efforts and organizing nationwide fundraisers from its Chicago headquarters.
Stewart received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Boston College. He has completed work towards his master’s in science degree in predictive analytics at Northwestern University.
