Zack Rearick brings our clients unique experience at the intersection of strategic communications and frontline healthcare advocacy.
Rearick was previously senior vice president at a Philadelphia-based strategic communications firm where his clients included hospitals and health systems, a regional Blue plan and a national Medicaid managed care insurer.
He has supported healthcare organizations through executive leadership transitions, regulatory challenges and performance turnarounds. He has also activated community initiatives and thought leadership campaigns, and has written with and for numerous CEOs, earning publication in top-tier newspapers and healthcare trades.
Rearick was previously head of communications and government relations at the Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses & Allied Professionals (PASNAP), one of the fastest-growing nurses’ unions in the country. In that capacity, he led communications and political engagement through hospital-based NLRB elections and contract campaigns and launched nurse-driven advocacy programs of statewide scope. Earlier, he spent several years with United Steelworkers, where he focused on strategic research campaign strategy.
Rearick has a master’s degree in technology and communication from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a bachelor’s degree in communications and political science from Allegheny College. He interned with then-Senator Hillary Clinton and completed the Strategic Research summer program at Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
