Senior Vice President, Change Management Service Line Leader

We are seeking a senior leader to lead the growth of our Change Management service line while advising c-suite leaders at some of the nations’ most prominent healthcare brands through moments of significant change, challenge and opportunity.

Role Overview

We are seeking a senior leader to lead the growth of our Change Management service line while advising c-suite leaders at some of the nations’ most prominent healthcare brands through moments of significant change, challenge and opportunity. Senior Vice Presidents manage the team, the client relationship, the work and are accountable for ensuring the firm meets client expectations and firm goals. They lead and inspire teams of talented colleagues; and they eagerly participate in business development to grow the firm.

At this level, it’s imperative that you have deep healthcare experience – either from a health system or health services company, or from an agency standpoint working with healthcare clients. Successful candidates will have deep and demonstrated subject matter expertise in both communications and change management.

Responsibilities:

CLIENT SERVICE / TEAM MANAGEMENT

  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with clients & prospects, position the firm’s deliverables to advantage in engagement conversations, and identify client service (growth) avenues
  • Confidently lead and collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives, develop scopes of work to meet clients where they are, and manage project teams to successful client deliverables
  • Ensure client satisfaction with quality work that is on time and on budget
  • Lead and manage client teams to build strategies and programs for clients
  • Assemble the right team for client projects, assess team member skills/contribution & coach individuals and teams as needed to assure positive client experience
  • Manage project fiscal outcomes through hands on oversight of budget & team productivity within context of pricing

SERVICE LINE LEADERSHIP

  • Lead the growth of the firm’s Change Management service line, including maturing existing offerings and developing new, industry-leading offerings to bring to market
  • Leverage deep industry expertise to guide firm leadership in opportunities to invest in and grow change management and workforce experience capabilities
  • Work in partnership with practice leadership to identify market-specific opportunities for growth
  • Collaborate with firm leaders, business development, visibility and marketing to build and implement go-to-market strategies for key offerings

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Represent the firm at networking events and conferences in order to raise firm brand awareness, identify complementary partners, and develop pipeline
  • Leverage your professional network to create pipeline & work in partnership with practice and firm leadership to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Manage an ongoing set of prospective client targets and engage them in key offerings pertinent to their business
  • Collaborate with practice leadership and the business development team to develop proposals, pitch, & win new business
  • Ensure clients are aware of our full set of high-value services where appropriate
  • Participate in and contribute ideas for firm thought leadership activities

FIRM MANAGEMENT

  • Model and teach best practices in key client & project management
  • Actively participate in appropriate firm management meetings and/or discussions
  • Accomplish billable goals and help ensure your direct reports do as well
  • Contribute ideas for Jarrard University, the firm’s professional development program, based on growth and development needs of your team

PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT

  • Demonstrate and support Jarrard Mission, Vision and Values
  • Lead teams of communications professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and support
  • Foster a collaborative work environment, promote professional growth, and ensure the team consistently delivers high-quality work within established budgets and timelines
  • Mentor the colleagues who report to you, guide career development using our talent development platform, dedicated team and resources as the foundation
  • Ensure teams are adept at all firm high-value services
  • Actively help the firm recruit and retain the best people
  • Participate in Jarrard University for professional development and encourage the participation of people who report to you

Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • Bachelors degree; advanced degrees in healthcare communications, operations, organizational design/development or related fields
    At least 20 years’ relevant experience in healthcare communications, change management, operations or administrative roles – direct healthcare experience is necessary as our clients value our dedication to the provider industry with no learning curve on the industry overall
  • Open to change and flexible in a fast-paced environments – both internally and that of our clients.
  • Outstanding people leader, adept at attracting, motivating, and developing consulting professionals and blending them into high-functioning teams
  • Well-regarded personal brand: a senior consultant who brings a strong and compelling point of view
  • Intellectual horsepower that drives distinctive consultation to clients and enduring contributions to the firm
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Superior communicator able to convey insights in a way that motivates clients to action
  • Solid track record of developing and managing strong client relationships and leveraging those relationships into high-impact engagements; ability to generate and/or bring in new business annually

  • Jarrard has offices in Chicago and Nashville with a hybrid work model in place. Will consider remote geographic locations as well

Salary range: $205,000-$225,000, plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The salary range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, practice area, and other business and organizational needs. In addition, Jarrard offers several benefits including medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, disability insurance, life insurance, 401(k) match, paid time off, wellness stipend, and additional voluntary benefits.
