Gladis Valdivia

An advisor in Jarrard Inc.’s National and Academic Health System Practice, Gladis Valdivia applies her background in media and legislative research, gleaned from experience in education, non-profit healthcare and government relations, to help clients navigate mergers and other major organizational transitions.

Prior to joining Jarrard Inc. as an advisor in 2022, Valdivia served as a state and city government relations intern for McGuireWoods Consulting. There, she monitored media and legislative meetings to track the progress of key legislation and policy initiatives relevant to clients in the healthcare, housing, energy and gaming industries. Previously, she worked as a strategic communications intern at CEO advisory firm Teneo, where she conducted research to support environmental, social, and governance projects. She has also interned at other education and healthcare nonprofits.

Valdivia received her Bachelor of Science degree in social policy and global health studies from Northwestern University. She was an active member of GlobeMed, NU Feminists and the Leadership Development and Consulting Club. She also completed Northwestern’s Engage Chicago and Chicago Field Studies programs.
